あらすじ

ある富豪の牡蠣商人の娘は、他の富豪の娘が結婚したことを聞き、自身も貴族の夫を求めるようになる。貧しい王子は、彼女に友人を通じてアプローチするが、人違いからその訪問はすぐに結婚へと発展してしまう。本物の王子の登場により、一家は判断力よりも金とスピードを優先して決められた結婚をどうやって解決するかという問題に直面することになる。
