Synopsis
A young woman's father has arranged for her to marry a wealthy count, but she asks Charlie to rescue her from the plan. Impersonating the suitor gets him into the house before the genuine visitor arrives. What begins as a strained formal dinner turns into a park confrontation and a motor chase as the lovers try to leave together.
Cast
Behind the scenes
San Francisco locations, including Golden Gate Park, provide the setting for much of the action. The shared-taxi idea behind the title belongs to the rapidly changing transport culture surrounding the lovers' escape.
