Synopsis
A car maker promises to take the visiting Belgian king from Paris to Monte Carlo in only two hours. The journey tears through towns and mountains, flattening obstacles and producing impossible accidents along the way. Méliès turns a royal motoring adventure into a race governed by trick effects rather than the limits of a real automobile.
