Synopsis
A border inspector suspects that an American silver mine conceals a smuggling operation. The death of an informant deepens the mystery just as a Western novelist arrives in the district under an assumed identity. Their overlapping investigations expose a business whose apparent prosperity depends on keeping the border's movements secret.
