Synopsis

A lighthouse keeper has raised a girl he rescued from a shipwreck, with only a locket to suggest her origins. As his health weakens, she takes on more of the work needed to keep the light burning. Concerned townspeople threaten to remove her, while a visitor's recognition may finally explain the family she lost.

Cast

Inspirations

Baby Peggy stars in this first film adaptation of Laura E. Richards's children's book. It survives as a comparatively rare feature-length record of her screen career and predates the later Shirley Temple version of the same story.
