Synopsis

Anna accepts what appears to be a respectable job in London and leaves Denmark despite her fiancé's doubts. On arrival, she discovers that the offer was a trap and she is being held in a brothel. Historical context

Nordisk's production followed a Danish film of the same name made by its competitor Fotorama. Its international sales helped demonstrate the commercial potential of longer, sensational melodramas. The title uses the historical terminology of the campaign against trafficking.
