Dream of a Rarebit Fiend

Synopsis

After overeating, a man staggers home and falls into a nightmare. Furniture moves, tiny figures torment him and his bed flies above the city, leaving sleep as unstable as the street he has just escaped.

Inspirations

Edwin S. Porter adapts Winsor McCay's newspaper comic strip. The film translates the strip's distorted dreams into live-action tricks, superimpositions and impossible movement.
