Synopsis

A policeman who grew up in the tenements organises a club to give neighbourhood boys a better chance. When one boy's brother faces execution, the officer promises to investigate. Counterfeiters then use the club to circulate forged money, placing both the young members and their mentor under suspicion at the moment they most need public trust.

Cast

Historical context

This film launched Monogram's East Side Kids series, but its cast differs from the group that later defined it. None of the original six Dead End Kids appears in this first entry, even though subsequent casting created a close association between the two screen ensembles.
