Synopsis

Sergeant Doubleday knows military regulations by heart but becomes a hazard when handed a gun. A misunderstanding convinces his commanding officer that he is an exceptional marksman. With a shooting contest approaching and his rivals eager to expose him, the regiment's intellectual prodigy faces a test that cannot be passed by memory alone.

This sequel brings back the military rivals introduced in Tanks a Million. It follows Hal Roach's Streamliner format, using a running time below an hour to fit into double-feature programmes. William Tracy's Doubleday and Joe Sawyer's Ames became recurring characters across a series of army comedies.
