Synopsis
A bachelor who has written about raising children arrives for a restful family visit and is immediately left in charge of his nieces. His reputation as an expert conceals a complete lack of practical experience. The children's curiosity turns his stay into a succession of emergencies, with help from an attractive neighbour adding another distraction.
William A. Seiter's comedy adapts John Habberton's popular nineteenth-century novel. Its central joke places published authority against lived experience, giving the children's behaviour the power to expose the adult's assumptions.
