Synopsis
A wealthy man returns home after a night of drinking and finds that his own furniture has become an obstacle course. Getting through the door is only the beginning: rugs, stairs, a swinging clock and a folding bed turn simple movements into elaborate struggles. His attempt to reach a comfortable place to sleep becomes a nearly solitary battle with the house.
Cast

Behind the scenes
Apart from a brief appearance by the taxi driver, Chaplin carries the short alone. He plays a prosperous drunk rather than the Tramp, using the carefully arranged interior as his principal comic partner.
