Synopsis
Two brothers survive a storm and reach an island inhabited by women who dive for pearls. One brother finds romance, while the other fears that rescue will expose the crimes he is fleeing. Their arrival disrupts the community, and the temptation of its pearls gives escape an increasingly dangerous purpose.
Roger Corman shot the film on Kauai in 1956, alongside Naked Paradise. Hotel grounds at the Coco Palms Resort supplied the village setting. Distribution came later, with American International Pictures adding the more sensational wording to the original title, Shark Reef.
