Synopsis

Nastya takes a maid's place in an upper-class household and attracts the attention of the family's son. Discovering that his fiancée has another lover makes her believe honesty might change their situation. His response reveals how little the household's private flirtations alter the social boundaries separating a servant from the people she serves.
