Synopsis
Two siblings slip away from their domineering father's shop to watch a travelling medicine show. Its charismatic proprietor offers the daughter a possible escape when her father decides to marry her off against her wishes. The encounter turns a passing entertainment into a challenge to the authority controlling their home.

Jack Benny made this early screen appearance during the transition from vaudeville to talking pictures. The travelling-show setting gave him a familiar performance environment, although the family conflict makes the film a mixture of comedy and melodrama. A print survives in the Library of Congress.
