Synopsis

A shipwrecked hunter reaches an island and accepts a count's hospitality. Other guests hint that the refuge is a trap. The host's preferred quarry forces the visitor to experience the terror of being pursued rather than the pleasure of the hunt.

Cast

Inspirations

Richard Connell's short story became a compact thriller closely connected to King Kong through personnel and jungle sets. Its reversal of hunter and hunted gives the adventure a moral question as well as physical suspense.
