Synopsis
An overworked servant at a Dutch tavern falls for a visiting traveller and enters an ice-skating contest to win his attention. Her employer frustrates the encounter, and the visitor later becomes interested in another woman. Secret messages, an unwanted marriage and a meeting at an old mill draw the servant into a fresh opportunity to change her fortunes.

Behind the scenes
Roscoe Arbuckle directed Marion Davies under the name William Goodrich. Although acquitted after the Virginia Rappe trials, Arbuckle struggled to work openly in Hollywood. The film adapts material from the 1906 musical by Victor Herbert and Henry Blossom.
