Synopsis
A policeman's daughter secretly marries a former criminal who claims to have changed. A theatre outing gives him the cover he needs to take part in a robbery, making her an unwitting witness for his defense. As the police place an agent inside his gang, the marriage and the apparently secure alibi begin to come apart.
Cast
Inspirations
Roland West and C. Gardner Sullivan adapt the stage play Nightstick. The early sound film combines a gangster investigation with unusually stylized sets, camera positions and sound effects.
