Synopsis
A mystery writer investigates a killer who announces each victim's appointment with death through a playing card. A threatened businessman tries to escape by flying his household to a Louisiana plantation, but another killing occurs during the journey. Two blundering detectives provide little reassurance as the writer studies the increasingly small circle of suspects.
