Synopsis
A doctor's arrival in the Philippines to marry her fiancé coincides with the outbreak of war. Retreat and injury bring them to Corregidor, where medical staff work with dwindling supplies under attack. An encounter with a former love complicates the personal strain, but survival depends on cooperation among the island's exhausted defenders.

Made soon after the 1942 fall of Corregidor, the film turns a recent military defeat into a story of endurance. It honours American and Filipino defenders while using a fictional medical romance to give the siege a personal viewpoint. California locations stood in for the Philippines.
