Synopsis
An unemployed pianist hitchhikes toward Hollywood to rejoin his girlfriend. An encounter on the road pulls him into decisions that grow harder to explain or reverse. Looking back from a roadside diner, he presents a journey in which each escape seems to create another trap.
Edgar G. Ulmer later described a six-day shoot, but surviving production evidence indicates a longer schedule. The discrepancy is a useful reminder to distinguish the film's low-budget legend from documented working dates.
