Synopsis

A prosperous married couple has successfully hidden its past as the leaders of a criminal gang. An old associate discovers them and threatens exposure unless the husband returns to safe-breaking. The supposedly final job takes him into a friend's house where his own wife and children are staying, turning blackmail into an immediate danger to the family.

Cast

Historical context

Norma Talmadge's role places a mother's established domestic life against the persistence of a criminal past. The film survives as one of the comparatively limited number of extant works from her long silent-screen career.
