Grass

Synopsis

Bakhtiari families and their herds undertake the seasonal journey to new grazing grounds in Persia. Crossing a river and negotiating the snowy Zagros mountains, the travelers must move animals and possessions through demanding terrain. The migration gives the documentary its structure and its practical stakes: reaching the pasture on which the herds depend.
