Synopsis
An older woman returns to a villa where she once lived and meets a young mother considering departure with her lover. The visitor recognizes a version of her own past in the decision. As memories and present encounters overlap, her advice changes, leaving the younger woman to weigh passion against the ties that would remain behind.

Behind the scenes
Delluc makes the house and its grounds active links between two periods of a woman's life. Recollection interrupts the present-day action, allowing similar gestures and situations to carry different emotional meanings for the visitor and her hostess.
