Synopsis

Former dancer Peggy has achieved her ambition of marrying a millionaire and discovered how dull that success can be. The return of an old lover brings humor and companionship into her regulated life, while her stepdaughter's romance creates a parallel disturbance. Money provides comfort without settling what any of them actually wants.

Cast

Behind the scenes

Filmed at the Astoria studios in New York, the production pairs Nancy Carroll with Fredric March and Frank Morgan. Donald Ogden Stewart's dialogue places verbal wit at the center of its early sound comedy.
