Synopsis
Raised away from boxing after his father's troubled career, Joe attracts a manager who recognises his natural talent. Success takes him to the city and into a world of parties and temptations. His progress in the ring begins to repeat the family history his mother hoped to escape.
Ham Fisher's Joe Palooka comic strip supplied the hero. Producer Edward Small acquired Inka Dinka Doo for the film, connecting its boxing comedy to a song strongly associated with Jimmy Durante.
