Synopsis

A government investigator joins a travelling medicine show to trace counterfeit money near the Mexican border. The showman has a grievance of his own against a local operator, and their interests begin to converge. Performing as a sharpshooter gives the agent cover while he looks for the source of the forged notes.

Cast

Behind the scenes

This was John Wayne's final Western for the Lone Star series released through Monogram. The medicine-show setting supplies performance and disguise alongside the border investigation. A later colourized edition circulated under the different title Guns Along the Trail.
