Synopsis
A nightclub singer sets aside her own career as her husband's success grows. Left increasingly isolated, she begins drinking while trying to meet the expectations of his new social world. Susan Hayward plays a woman whose fear of being displaced becomes intertwined with an addiction that threatens both her family and her sense of self.
