Synopsis
A dance hall becomes a contest between men whose attention is fixed on the same young woman. Their attempts to approach her create rivalries that interrupt both the music and the people enjoying it. The crowded social setting supplies partners, obstacles and witnesses for an increasingly physical struggle over who gets noticed.
Cast
Behind the scenes
Mack Sennett filmed the comedy in a dance hall with Chaplin, Roscoe Arbuckle and Ford Sterling. Chaplin appears without the familiar Tramp moustache and costume, giving this early appearance a distinct visual identity.
