Synopsis

News of a hidden city and its diamonds attracts a band of thieves to Tarzan's estate. While he is away, the intruders capture a guide and a young woman, whose journey ends at a temple preparing a human sacrifice. Tarzan follows with his lion, Jad-bal-ja, to attempt a rescue.

Inspirations

The film adapts Edgar Rice Burroughs's 1923 novel. James Pierce made his only screen appearance as Tarzan here; he later played the character on radio opposite his wife, Joan Burroughs, as Jane. The film survives after having once been considered lost.
