Synopsis
A couple applying to adopt a child invite an official investigation into their lives. The husband's frequent business trips soon reveal a second household in another city. Rather than treat the discovery as a simple trick, Ida Lupino's drama looks at the loneliness, evasions and decisions that have brought three people into an impossible arrangement.
