Synopsis

A botany graduate accidentally acquires an engineering diploma and accepts a job modernizing a house. His ingenious domestic gadgets attract the anger of the real engineer, whose rewiring turns convenience into chaos.

Behind the scenes

Keaton broke his ankle on the mechanical staircase during an earlier attempt to make the film. The familiar version was shot again after that production had been abandoned.
