Synopsis

A Red Army marksman is assigned to guard a captured White officer during a desperate journey across Central Asia. A storm leaves the two isolated together, away from the forces that defined them as enemies. Caring for one another creates an intimacy that cannot easily erase the military duty and political divisions waiting beyond the island.
