An evicted young man befriends a stray dog and becomes entangled with a robber who mistakes stolen money for his victim's own. The dog's interest in a poodle introduces a possible romance for its owner. A jealous suitor then recruits the robber for another confrontation.
Cast
Historical context
Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy share the screen before forming their familiar partnership. Laurel plays the hapless hero and Hardy the threatening thief, so their relationship here differs from the duo's later comedies.
