Synopsis
Mizzi flirts with her friend's husband while her own husband quietly hopes to find grounds for divorce. The innocent and the calculating alike become caught in a network of jealousy, private detection and misleading appearances. In Lubitsch's Vienna, a taxi ride or a misplaced suspicion can disturb several marriages at once.
