Synopsis
A princess plans to escape with her father's secretary while the queen is abroad. News of an arranged political marriage threatens the plan. The king must navigate family demands and affairs of state, neither of which responds obediently to royal authority.

Robert E. Sherwood's The Queen's Husband supplied the source. Lowell Sherman both directed and starred, bringing the stage comedy's domestic view of monarchy into an early sound production.
