Synopsis
After inheriting her father's oil fortune, Bingo leaves South America with guardians who hope to introduce her to New York society. She falls for Andy during the voyage, but their unequal wealth makes marriage difficult. Her determination to ignore social expectations collides with his fear of appearing dependent on her money.
Cast
Historical context
Untamed was Joan Crawford's first non-musical talking feature, although songs still form part of the film. Robert Montgomery's leading role places the production at an early point in both performers' adjustment to MGM's sound cinema.
