Synopsis
An heiress sells property to finance the communication device invented by the man she loves. Success makes their marriage possible, but prosperity leads him to neglect both the business and his wife. When his attention turns elsewhere and the company again needs her money, she insists on a different distribution of authority.
Owen Davis's play supplies a marriage drama organised around a futuristic visual telephone. The invention's promise of better communication contrasts with the couple's deteriorating understanding, while the wife's financial contribution becomes the basis for her claim to business leadership.
