Synopsis
Sally is expected to marry a sheriff, although she loves Wanenis, a man her father rejects because he is Native American. She escapes with the unwitting help of ranch hand Henry Williams. The pursuit turns Henry into the confused center of a musical Western filled with romantic misunderstandings and stage-style comedy.
Cast
Behind the scenes
Adapted from the Broadway success associated with Florenz Ziegfeld, Whoopee! was photographed in two-color Technicolor. Eddie Cantor carried his stage persona into the film, while Busby Berkeley began his Hollywood choreography work on its musical numbers.
