Synopsis
A young woman in difficult circumstances searches for a way out of isolation and danger. Her ordeal leads to rescue attempts and pursuit, while the people around her reveal their loyalties in a crisis. This Shanghai silent film combines a domestic story of a trapped woman with physical action and daring rescues, retaining the direct expressiveness of early genre cinema.
