Synopsis
Cinderella's mistreatment by her stepsisters gives way to magical assistance and a transformed appearance. The glass slipper eventually becomes the clue through which the court searches for her. Méliès stages the familiar tale through fairy figures, elaborate settings and visible transformations.

Behind the scenes
Made in 1912 and released in 1913, this version returned to a story Méliès had filmed in 1899. Ferdinand Zecca substantially reedited it for Pathé, leaving a surviving release version whose cutting differs from the director's usual style.
