Synopsis
A music student eagerly awaits a visit from the sister she believes has a glamorous theatrical career. A Broadway producer's arrival introduces another set of expectations. The gap between the sister's public image and her working life complicates a young performer's hopes.
Jane Powell was borrowed from MGM for only her second film. Director Arthur Lubin was also on loan, illustrating how independent musical productions assembled talent from several studios.
