Synopsis

A prosperous businessman survives an attempt on his life and realizes that his wife helped arrange it. Believed dead, he takes refuge in a small town and begins to imagine a different existence. The decision to return turns a story of personal reinvention into a struggle to establish what happened and who can be believed.

Behind the scenes

The film was made in Northern California, using San Francisco and Bay Area locations. The visible local businesses and commercial signs drew attention from trade reviewers; their appearance documents the streets as well as supplying a setting for the crime story, without establishing that the placements were paid advertising.
