Synopsis
After losing his job, a Shanghai husband discovers that his wife has become involved with a wealthy student. Relatives and lawyers turn a strained marriage into a public dispute. As the promised freedom of a new romance begins to unravel, both spouses must confront the gap between desire, money and family expectations.
