Synopsis
Dr. Jekyll experiments with a formula that releases a violent second identity. At first the transformation appears subject to his control, but repeated use allows Hyde to emerge at will. When violence reaches the people closest to him, the doctor discovers that returning to himself is no longer assured.

Thanhouser's short draws on both Stevenson's novella and Thomas Russell Sullivan's stage adaptation. James Cruze's transformation compresses the central conflict into an emphatic physical performance.
