Synopsis
A minister and his sister enter a frontier town whose saloon interests oppose their mission. Local men set out to undermine the newcomer, while a dangerous gunman responds differently to his sister's conviction. Faith, weakness and violence pull the settlement toward confrontation.
William S. Hart's severe Western persona suits a story that treats the frontier as a moral battleground. The town's competing social institutions, church and saloon, organise the conflict as much as individual gunfighters do.
