Synopsis

A prospector arrives in town to enjoy the proceeds of his labour, only to be injured and cheated out of his claim. Unable to recover it through ordinary means, he intercepts the stagecoach carrying the stolen wealth. Rescuing a young woman during the robbery complicates his position as townspeople prepare to punish the wrong man.

Cast

Behind the scenes

William S. Hart both directs and stars as a quiet man pushed outside the law by ostensibly respectable criminals. The reversal allows the Western to question whether public reputation accurately identifies who deserves trust.
