Synopsis
A reporter tired of the San Diego waterfront investigates a fisherman suspected of smuggling people into the country. The assignment promises a way out of his stalled career, but personal involvement complicates his pursuit. Professional ambition collides with the lives behind the story.
Max Miller's book supplied the waterfront material acquired by producer Edward Small. The adaptation turns observations of a working port into a fictional crime and romance narrative.
