Synopsis

Sergeant Dunn is sent to capture the Cisco Kid, a bandit whose easy manner initially hides his identity. The pursuit becomes entangled with Dunn's attraction to Tonia Maria, the woman the outlaw loves. When the Kid discovers that their relationship has changed, a written message gives him a way to turn the planned trap against his pursuers.

Cast

Inspirations

The Cisco Kid comes from O. Henry's story The Caballero's Way. This early screen version presents a considerably harsher character than some of the later popular adventures.

Behind the scenes

The Western made extensive use of outdoor locations during the early sound period. Raoul Walsh was originally to play the lead, but an accident that cost him an eye forced a change in the production.
