Synopsis

Young officer Raleigh joins the company of Captain Stanhope, the school hero he still admires. Years in the trenches have changed Stanhope, who fears what Raleigh might report to the sister he hopes to marry. A dangerous raid and the expectation of another attack bring the officers' strained relationships into sharp relief.
