Synopsis
Mabel tries to sell hot dogs to spectators at a motor race, negotiating access and struggling to find customers. Leaving her stock unattended gives Charlie an opportunity to distribute it without payment. Her attempt to recover the goods brings police into the dispute, turning a working day at the races into a chase through the crowd.
Cast
Behind the scenes
Normand wrote, directed and starred in the short. The race gathering supplies an active public setting in which her vendor's need to earn a living repeatedly clashes with other people's appetite for entertainment.
